Sign me up for that HUMMER SUV instead that just came out...CHEVY USED TO BE TESLA, in gas vehicles. I think they will be in the top three TESLA, NIO, GM. I think they just make vehicles that are really good to look at. The CyberTruck is just too ugly but his vehicles can drive themselves almost 100%. So TESLA deserves #1 because he did his homework and earned it. THE CHEVY HUMMER just looks better and the self driving will catch up.

However, if you're going venture into the world of LD trucks, and Sport Luxury Utility TruckS, please get the spec's that most truck guys absolutely need. (i.e. Tow capacities, including 5th wheel. What is the range with #3,000 trailer in tow. What is the real world range with 4 knuckle dragging, beef eaters in the cab, while blasting both the AC and the stereo cruising 75 MPH on the highway on a hot sunny day? What is the range reduction on a cold/windy high of 10 degrees day? Were are the re-charging stations, and is it compatible with Tesla Supercharging stations?) The TFL guys really trail test these, so I don't care about angles of approach, etc...

Eventually, when there is no more wonderful internal combustions these electric vehicles will be self driving, not in a cool K. I. I have a question: why does the "locking rear differential" option exist in this truck? from what I understand about the concept locking the wheel make it so the power go to both wheels regardless of differing grip condition. example when you have one wheel on the ground and the other in the air with the differential open the "ground wheel" will not move because all the power is going to the "air wheel" and since both wheels are mechanically linked you have no other choice other then making them both turn to put the power on the "ground wheel". So if I go back to my question wouldn't be more efficient to just put the power on the wheel that have traction rather then wasting energy turning a wheel that effectively does nothing? genuinely curious about that if some kind soul that know about how it works would take the time to explain it. it would be greatly appreciated.

The earth was too warm for human life for millions of years until the jungles put all that carbon in the ground in layers of oil coal and gas . If you have a vehicle that burns alcohol from corn , this is 'above ground' energy . the carbon comes from the air and goes back to the air . Even a wood fired steam powered vehicle is carbon neutral . Its not complicated , you don't need fossil fuel and you don't need 1000hp 11,500 lb vehicle that runs on coal fired electricity to show your friends that you failed science in college .

If the motors are the same why do they need to have different ratios front vs rear? presumably just a mechanical way of limiting the torque sent to the rear so you don't end up with a crazy wheel torque split like 33% front, 67% rear?

Are you sure the battery communication is actually wireless? It would make much more sense to have a bms in each module and have the bms's communicate over a common bus (like CAN). It would have all the same benefits you mentioned without the drawbacks from wireless communication, like interference, hackability, and frequency spectrum restrictions per region.
